Ingredients

- Ground bison or beef - Onions, garlic - Oats, salt, pepper - Egg & milk - Ketchup, mustard - Maple syrup - Chipotle peppers (optional)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Add the oats, milk, salt and pepper to a bowl to allow the oats to soak while you prepare the other items.

Step 1

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Then, add them to a pan with a little butter or oil. Cook on medium heat until golden brown.

Step 2

Add the ground bison or beef, soaked oat mixture, caramelized onions, garlic, and egg to a large bowl. Mix until everything is well combined. 

Step 3

Line a bread pan with aluminum foil. Add the meat mixture to the pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes.

Step 4

Make the glaze for the top while the meatloaf bakes in the oven. Do this by adding the glaze ingredients to a bowl and mixing them together.

Step 5

Take the meatloaf out after 25 minutes and spread the glaze on top. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, remove, and enjoy!
