✸ spaghetti ✸ marinara sauce ✸ ground bison (or beef) ✸ garlic, carrots ✸ spices, salt ✸ bay leaves ✸ parmesan to top if desired
First, gather all your ingredients. Then, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook your spaghetti to al dente (just tender).
Add the ground bison or beef to a large skillet and brown on medium heat. Break up into small pieces using a heavy spoon or spatula.
Finely chop the carrots and garlic. Then, add to the pan once the meat is partly brown. Saute everything for a few additional minutes.
Add the marinara sauce, tomato paste, bay leaves, and spices to the meat mixture. Mix together and simmer on low for 15 mins.
After 15 minutes the sauce should be fragrant and bubbly. Remove the bay leaves and serve it up on top of your cooked pasta!
